Letter format to transfer train ticket

Good news is that Indian Railway has announced that train ticket can be transferred to other person if you are not able to travel as per your plan. There are some conditions to do that. Read the conditions below.

Chief Reservation Supervisor of important stations are authorized by Railway Administration to permit the change of name of a passenger having a seat or berth reserved in his name in the following circumstances namely :
(a) Where the passenger is a Government Servant, proceeding on duty and appropriate authority, makes a request in writing 24 hours before the scheduled departure of trains
(b) Where the passenger makes a request in writing 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train that the reservation made in his name may be transferred to another member of his family, meaning, Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Husband and Wife.
(c) Where the passengers are students of a recognized educational institution and the Head of the institution makes a request in writing 48 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, that the reservation made in the name of any student be transferred to any other student of the same institute.
(d) Where the passengers are members of a marriage party and any person deemed to be Head of such party makes a request in writing 48 hours before the scheduled departure of the train that the reservation made in the name of any member of the marriage party be transferred to any other person.
(e) Where the passengers are a group of cadets of National Cadet Corps and any officer who is the head of the group, makes a request in writing at least 24 hours before the departure of the train that the reservation made in the name of any cadet be transferred to any other cadet.
Such request will be granted only once. Regarding item no. (c), (d) and (e), such request for change in excess of 10% of the total strength of group shall not be granted.

What is Baal Aadhaar card or Blue Aadhaar card

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently launched a new blue coloured Aadhaar card or 'Baal Aadhaar' card. This card is for those children who are under the age of 5. So even for your newly born baby can get aadhaar card if birth certificate is available. According to UIDAI, this blue coloured aadhaar card is being issued for small kids and it can be updated when the child grows. That is there are two updates required. One at the age of 5 and another update is at the age of completion of 15 years. There is NO fee for these two updates. For Baal Aadhaar card, bio-metrics will not be recorded. That is no finger print or eye impression is scanned. You should only need to give photo of the baby and birth certificate along with one of the parent UID number, ie) Aadhaar card.

How to Apply Baal Aadhaar card or Blue Aadhaar card

Below are the steps you have to follow to get blue aadhaar card for your children.

• Go to your enrollment center with birth certificate of your baby
• Fill up the enrollment form.
• Give your or your spouse's Aadhaar card number for the authentication purpose. Child's 'Aadhaar' will be linked to the UID (Aadhaar card number) of his/her parents.
• Give a valid mobile number for the child. Give separate number to register with the blue coloured 'Baal Aadhaar' card.
•  The officials will take a photograph of your child. They will NOT take any biometrics as the age of the child is below 5 years.
• After the confirmation, collect acknowledgements slip.
• Once the verification process is completed, an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number you have given for your child. Within 60 days of receiving this message, the blue coloured 'Baal Aadhaar' card will be issued to the child address given by you
• Alternatively, you can check out at the UIDAI website to know the status of your child aadhaar card to see whether aadhaar is generate or not. Once it is generated, you can download the baal aadhaar card and make a printed copy for future use.

How to add / register your mobile number with your Aadhaar card

Missed your aadhaar card somewhere? Want to get new aadhaar card? You can easily download your Aadhaar card and print it for further use. But you should have your number registered with your aadhaar card while enrollment process. Even though you have given your number at the time of aadhaar taking, the officials sometimes would have missed to add your number in the database. I have lost my Aadhaar card

I had given my number while aadhaar enrollment was done. But shit, they had not updated in the record. I came to know this only after my aadhaar is lost somewhere. I searched in my home and other places many times. But did not able to find my aadhaar card. Then I decided to download the aadhaar card using my phone number. I have entered 12 digit aadhaar number, name as per aadhaar card (Luckily I had the Xerox copy as well as other part of the printed original aadhaar card) and PIN code. When I press to submit to send OTP, I got shocked. Because it displayed your registered mobile number is not valid. Oh my God! I was not able to download the aadhaar card online at the official website, https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ . Then I read about what can be done to register the mobile number again. 

How I registered my mobile number with Aadhaar

There is only one way to register. It can't be registered online myself. I need to go to aadhaar e-seva centre and apply. I then straight away went to the centre of aadhaar e-seva which was near the Taluk office. In every city, it will be nearer to Taluk office. So find where it is in your city. Then there was some agents offering the form and filling up. Those agents will collect some money for doing this job. I approached one agent and told what happened to me. He then taken a form which is called adhaar enrollment / correction form. He filled up all the details like my name, address mobile number and added the notes at the end. He described in notes what should be done for me. See the attachment provided below to know how to fill it. He asked me to give Rs.20 and I gave.

Then I have submitted it to the official of the e-seva centre. One lady was there to do this job. She asked me to put two thumbs on the aadhaar scanning machine and sit infront of the camera to scan eye impression. She verified and then she can able to modify the details. She updated my number there and gave me an acknowledgement slip for the same. She charged me Rs.30 for this update. But the number is not updated immediately and it will be in queue and after 10 days, I can see my number updated in the web portal of the UDAI. Then I easily download the generated aadhaar card and printed it for further use. 

You can follow these steps in case your number is not yet registered with your aadhaar card. You can also use this method if you want to change your mobile number. If your old mobile number is not active and you are not using it anymore, then you can request this update to have your current active mobile number there. You need to spend totally Rs.50 and time.
